1. Google is slapping affiliates left and right. Once they ban your account it’s virtually impossible to get back. It doesn’t matter if you are promoting legitimate offers or not, Google doesn’t care. Many affiliate marketers have had their income wiped out overnight due to a Google slap.
2. PPC traffic is expensive. As more and more people get into affiliate marketing, click prices continue to rise. Most smaller affiliates are squeezed out by large companies or super affiliates with large budgets.
3. PPC traffic sources such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing can deny your keywords, slap your campaigns, and basically wipe out your income in a flash.
4. Some marketers focus on ‘free’ traffic sources like SEO, article marketing, etc. This can work great but it takes a LOT of time and effort. We are also faced with the same problem; one change to the search algorithm and your search engines rankings can disappear.
